Pharmacoeconomics and health outcomes research is an emerging field in India. Pharmacoeconomics is a part of healthcare economics which identifies, measures and compares the cost and consequences of pharmaceutical product and service provision. This field gives significant information about healthcare coverage and access decisions. Research in this field provides evidence to policy makers and healthcare providers to make decisions that help patients in terms of affordability and rational use of drugs.References
